The trail features approximately 118 miles of multiple loops through all major parkways and parks in the system. Loops are composed of off-road paved trails, park drives, and municipal streets where necessary to ensure continuity.

Oak Leaf Discovery Tour National Trails Day Ride
Saturday, June 6th 2015 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
South Shore Cyclery & the Oak Leaf Discovery Tour is celebrating National Trails Day! We are going to explore part of the Root River Corridor. Starting at Boerner Botanical Gardens, we will begin meeting up at 9:00 a.m., ride taking off at 9:30 a.m. sharp. Then riding to get our stamp or keyword at Wehr Nature Center, Kulwicki Park, and Greenfield Golf Course. Then ride back to Boerner. Ride one way is approximately 7.8 miles, round trip will be about 15.6 miles. An approximation of time this will take is 2 hours with stops.
Afterwards you can hike the Wehr Nature Trails in light of National Trails Day. Reminder: cost to park at the Wehr Nature Center is $3.
Passports will be available for purchase at the beginning of the ride.
