Oak Leaf Discovery Tour Kick-Off Ride

Saturday, May 2nd 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Calling all 2015 Passport holders . . . Announcing the Opening Ride

Join Tatyana and her loyal owner (Kate) for the first ride of the year – on Saturday, 2 May 2015. We will meet, starting at 9:30 AM, in the parking lot of Estabrook Park. Tatyana will be easily identifiable – she is a sea foam green, Giant bike, with a basket. She will have the OLDT logo on the front and on her basket, and cut-outs of the trail logo will be attached to Kate’s helmet. They really get into this stuff! Anyway, the ride will start promptly at 10:00 AM. The first keyword will be recorded at Estabrook. The group will head south on the OLDT to Riverside Park (the Urban Ecology Center) where everyone can record that key word and then continue to Veteran’s Park Kite Shop for their Passport stamp! We could also consider going to Lincoln Park (not far from Estabrook) and/or to Lake Park. So many options! Kate will have passports and the maps available for purchase before the ride. Feel free to send an email to with any questions and/or so we know how many will be joining. This will be a leisurely ride, with intended return time at Estabrook Park set for Noon. Feel free to pack picnic lunches so you can enjoy the great libations at Estabrook, which will be open when we return (the Maifest will be in full swing, too!). If the ride is cancelled due to weather, we will surely post that information so please check again that morning. Hope you can join.

This ride will be led by Kate. If you have any questions or plan to join. Please contact her at
