All Box stems are engineered and crafted using our Oversized Technology. As we follow the load paths down the handlebars we have focused our attention on the stem-to-bar interface. Since the Oversized handlebars have an increased wall thickness and tube diameter in this sector we have reciprocated with an augmented stem interface with greater surface area. We’ve done this by moving material from low stress areas. This has greatly minimized twist and contributed to responsiveness. As the stem in mated with the handlebars we have contributed to increased pedaling stiffness by providing a backstop to the “lifting” phenomenon. There is no point pushing hard on your pedals if you can’t pull up on your handlebars and deliver that power. Power can easily be lost to handlebar-to-stem deflection and the consequences can be poor power delivery and steering control. When combined with Box’s other Oversized components, you’ll experience heightened responsiveness and reduced latency. Key differences: This particular model stem pushes our Oversized Technology to the extreme as it maximizes the shift of material from low stress zones to the Oversized interface. These stems are engineered for the smaller-sized racers. -Lightweight 3D Hollow Design -Front-Load Clamp Design to Fight Pull-Up Forces -Large Bar Bore -Large Hollow Clamping Bolts -Superior Strength

Key differences: In this particular model stem we’ve modulated the Oversized formula to emphasize pedaling stiffness. We have transferred material specifically to sectors that experience sudden stress from pulling up on the handlebars. You’ll feel a difference in your acceleration. These stems are engineered for the larger-sized racers. -Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum -Process: Cold-Forged -Hardware: Chromoly Clamping Bolts -Finish: Anodized w/Laser-Etched Graphics Weight: -48mm: 280 g / 9.8 oz -53mm: 290 g / 10.2 oz

Hollow stems are cold forged from the highest quality 6061-T6 aluminum available. Featuring an open skeletal design and a dual mid-bolt wedge mounting system, they are lightweight yet maintain a very high level of strength. A 53mm extension stem weighs just 218 grams/7.7 ounces. By removing the rear pinch bolts and moving the mounting bolts to the middle of the stem, we reduced the weight and size and eliminated a serious hazard to the rider’s knees. These stems come with either a 48- or 53mm extension and a 22.2mm bar bore. To ensure proper clamping force, the stem must be mounted on a fork with at least 45mm of exposed steerer tube. Not compatible with forks that have carbon fiber steerer tubes.

All Box handlebars are engineered and crafted using our Oversized Technology. Handlebars have a dual purpose as they contribute to both steering and pedaling stiffness. By strategically varying wall thicknesses and tube diameters, we have moved material from 3 low-stress areas to zones of high load. This has greatly minimized twists and contributed to responsiveness. Concurrently we have increased pedaling stiffness by providing a backstop to the “lifting” phenomenon. There is no point pushing hard on your pedals if you can’t pull up on your handlebars and deliver that power. Power can easily be lost to handlebar deflection and the consequences can lead to poor power delivery and steering control. When combined with Box’s other Oversized components, you’ll experience heightened responsiveness and reduced latency. Key differences: This particular model handlebar is tailored for medium-sized racers so we decided to use hardened aluminum alloy to reduce unnecessary mass. FEATURES - Oversized™ Technology - Hardened Aluminum - To Reduce Unnecessary Mass for Medium-Sized Racers - Massive Clamp Interface for Steering Stiffness - Variable Wall Thickness to Reduce Weight

There is more to our carbon headsets than their striking good looks. From top to bottom, Box One™ Carbon Headsets was designed to perform. Each unit features a custom CNC-machined aluminum compression cap in the shape of the Box logo with cut-outs to reduce weight. At the center of the compression cap is an anodized aluminum bolt that threads into a gold anodized aluminum expander plug. This expander eliminates the need for a star nut and works with all 1-1/8-inch steerer tubes—even carbon fiber steerer tubes. The bearing cover is crafted from carbon fiber, which not only adds style but helps shave weight. At the heart of the headset are two super-smooth, titanium-nitride coated, sealed, 45×45 bearings. The titanium coating results in a low friction coefficient, increased corrosion resistance, and smoother rolling bearings. A split crown race makes installation and removal from forks super easy. FEATURES - Durable Titanium-Nitride Coated Sealed Bearings - Lightweight Non-Structural Carbon Components - Reusable Expander Wedge SPECIFICATIONS - Bearing Angle: 45° x 45° - Compression Cap: CNC-Machined - Bearing Cover: Carbon Fiber - Expansion Plug: Aluminum - Compression Cap: Aluminum - Finish: TiN Bearings - IS 42/28.6 - IS 42/28.6 - Weight 94 g / 3.3 oz

When combined with Box’s other Oversized components, you’ll experience heightened responsiveness and reduced latency. Key differences: This particular model handlebar is tailored for larger-sized racers and also takes our application of Oversized Technology one step further as it employs a tougher chromium molybdenum steel. This allows for a greater variation of wall thicknesses to combat the higher loads coming from that extra rider weight. FEATURES - Oversized™ Technology - Chromoly Steel - Toughest Handlebar Material In • Lineup - Massive Clamp Interface for Steering Stiffness - 13 Butted - Variable Wall Thickness to Reduce Weight
$99.99
Like the Box One™ Chromoly handlebars, Flat Chromoly bars are super stiff and custom-made from the highest quality 4130 chrome-molybdenum. They feature a proprietary 13-butted taper from 22.2 Ø at the grip area to 31.8 Ø across the clamp area. The incredible stiffness of the 31.8 oversize bar improves bike handling while putting more power into your pedal stroke. Flat Chromoly bars, however, have a very flat 3-degree back sweep. FEATURES - Oversized™ Technology - Almost Flat 3-degree Backsweep for More Control - Chromoly Steel - Toughest Handlebar Material In the Lineup - Massive Clamp Interface for Steering Stiffness - 13 Butted - Variable Wall Thickness to Reduce Weight

For Box braking we’ve limited the use of our Oversized Technology to the V area since the levers need to be minimalist and largely act as a remote for the V-Brakes. To reduce lateral deflection at the V we chose to enlarge the pivot areas and arms while tightening tolerances at their interfaces. We robbed material from unloaded sections to reinforce these zones of high stress. Not only are you going to be more efficient with brake power delivery, but you’ll also feel the instant response of deceleration. Key differences: The Box One V-Brake are the only brakes in the Box line-up to be blessed with Oversized Technology. They are also the only model to use sealed precision bearings to further reduce non-rotational movement. The 108mm long-reach brakes are excellent for BMX, mountain, city, urban and tandem bicycles using linear-pull-compatible levers. The 85-mm short reach (AKA mini-V) brakes are an excellent choice for cyclocross or drop-bar gravel bikes.
